Something to Chew On

Thoreau once said,

“Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit,

and resign yourself to the influences of each.”

I think his words are sticky, and sweet. It requires the art of balancing.

A Moment in Time:

This image may seem simple, but I love it! It is so pleasing. I decided to capture this moment because of the sterile cold guardrail and the contrast between its natural surroundings. The vines are encasing the rail. Nature is taking over this man-made item, swallowing it whole. But the colors are vital reds and blues that are springing to life. There is power.

Dig Deep

I started this silly blog (if that's what one would call it) in order to stay in touch with my world traveling friends, and artists. I also wanted a space where I could show glimpses of the art I create, things I like and want to share, and a platform for stories/tales, along with trying to some how figure out what exactly it is I want to do... in life, that is. Be patient.

I know this blog is out in the great abyss, and that is intimidating. Who is reading it? and Why?! Mom? HA! By no means, in any way, shape, or form am I actually a "writer". I also have that added pressure of having too many friends in the writing world (maybe its the reason for my disclaimer), who are: English Professors, Editors, Journalists, etc. and so easily yet powerfully have that special gift of being able to turn my once novella into a fluff cloud of red pen haze.

Dear Sticklers, I now give you the chance to run away from my: not-so-funny banter, grammatical errors and structural defects. I apologize for the annoyance ahead of time but its 2010 the dawn of the blogger, and we are all capable of starting one of these suckers! Although I must admit seeing a well crafted sentence in a newspaper or blog does excite me. Go figure.

Well, stay tuned. That's all for now.
